The Irish textile chain Primark opened another store in Portugal. The new unit, which has about 3,000 m2 is at the Almada Fórum shopping centre.
With the opening of this store, which joins the existent ones at Colombo, NorteShopping, Dolce Vita Tejo, Parque Nascente, Forum Sintra, Aqua Portimão, Forum Coimbra and Braga Parque, Primark reinforces its presence at national level. All of these openings show the brand's success and confirm Primark's careful and sustainable expansion plan in our country.
Cushman & Wakefield was responsible for this negotiation, acting on behalf of Primark. The property firm assists the Irish brand on the search and negotiation of venues since the beginning of their activity in Portugal, in 2009.
With a strong presence in the United Kingdom, Primark is one of the biggest textile chains in Europe. During the last years, the brand has been reinforcing its role as a socially responsible company through the Ethic Commerce Program, which promotes respecting the underprivileged workers' rights around the world. Besides this initiative, Primark recognizes its impact on the environment and, therefore, all of its new stores are equipped with an energy management system.
