Global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) recently announced that it has been instructed to reinforce the sale process of Coats & Clarks’ industrial property located in the centre of Vila Nova de Gaia. This reinforcement has mainly to do with the owner company’s intention to sell the property until the end of the year at a more competitive price.
More than just one more large industrial property, the Coats & Clark former industrial facility is an historical landmark in Gaia. In fact, the company has been operating at this location for over 100 years. The set of buildings presents unique features that show, not only the evolution of the company’s activity throughout an entire century but they also strongly contribute to Gaia’s urban landscape through their well built industrial structures.
Located in the city centre, the property, that has huge development potential, can become the future location of a new and emblematic project for Gaia, of unique architecture and use.
According to Ana Gomes, Associate and Head of Industrial and Land at C&W in Portugal, “this is an excellent opportunity for land banking at extremely competitive pricing in an increasingly strategic location within Greater Porto, taking advantage of the current competitive market conditions.”
